Should Scotland be an independent country?

YesOrNoScotland is a website that allows you to cast a vote on the issue of Scottish Independence. In the 2014 Scottish independence referendum, the question asked was “Should Scotland be an independent country?” We use the exact same question for our online poll.

The online poll is not an official poll or referendum. It is purely for gauging current public opinion. When you vote, your opinion will be cast and combined with other votes to provide a Yes / No split.

Please only vote once. Multiple votes will affect the validity of the results. We have implemented measures to try to counter repeated voting.

In addition to showing the current voting split, we also provide access to historical data that allows you to see how the vote has evolved over time. Historic data is added to our timeline on a monthly basis. The chart is updated on the 1st of every month.

If you have ideas or suggestions on how we could improve the poll or the presentation of data, then please feel free to get in touch with us. We would love to hear your suggestions.

YesOrNoScotland is a privately owned website and is not linked or connected with any political party in Scotland or the UK. All data is live and unedited. The aim of this website is to capture an accurate snapshot of public opinion right now and through time. We do not influence the results or manipulate the live or archived data.

Please share this poll on your social media platforms to allow other users to vote. We have made it as easy as possible to vote on YesOrNoScotland. No registration is required. Simply visit the website and cast your vote. The more people who vote, the more accurate our results will be.
